Tropical Freeze Smoothie

Love the way strawberry flecks color this drink!

Tropical Freeze Smoothie Recipe
Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 cup guava nectar
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango

Instructions:
  1. Toss all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend, serve and enjoy.

Guava nectar can be purchased cheaply at your local latin grocery and adds a great deal of sweetness to smoothies. I like the addition of strawberries to this drink for their bright red color, however, pineapple would be a delicious partner to the mango, also.

Get Up and Goji Smoothie

Fresh and creamy poolside treat!

Get Up and Goji Smoothie Recipe
Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup dried goji berries
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches (about 1 peach)

Instructions:
  1. Toss all ingredients in blender.

Sunny Day Smoothie

A great mix of tangy and sweet tropical fruits!
Sunny Day Smoothie Recipe
Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 kiwi (peeled, chopped)
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1 frozen banana
Instructions:
  1. Toss all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend, serve and enjoy.
  3. Optional: top with light whipped cream and garnish with a kiwi slice.

For this recipe I used Dole 100% Juice Orange-Pineapple juice, a seeded kiwi and a small banana. You may wish to seek out a seedless kiwi for this recipe for a smoother drink. If you're chopping up fresh mango, avoid cutting to the core for a mango-thread-free drink.
